Chris Renna recorded this video of wildlife at SVT's General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts Memorial Forest in Sudbury, including northern water snakes, painted turtles, a red fox and others.
Dan Foster used his remote wildlife camera to record video of white-tailed deer, a red fox and a fisher at Stow Conservation Trust's Fieldstone property. Dan describes the site below, and on his blog.
Rutting deer visit a buck's scrape along the Fieldstone Loop trail in the northwest corner of Stow, MA. A mature buck revisits his scrape, depositing scent on the overhanging branch and chewing on branches from an oak toppled in the October 2011 snowstorm. Various does and a lesser buck visit the scrape over the next few weeks, along with a red fox and fisher.
Craig Smith used his remote wildlife camera to photograph a red fox at two different times on the same night at SVT's General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts Memorial Forest in Sudbury, can you find it in the photos? Craig also saw a fisher while setting up the camera: "While I was concentrating on changing the batteries in the camera I heard some leaves rustling nearby and I looked over in the opposite direction from where the camera had been pointing and saw a fisher standing upright with its front paws on the trunk of a small tree about 20 feet away looking at me. As soon as I looked over it took off down a hill."
