Shakespeare Comes to Wolbach Farm

Rebel Shakespeare
The Rebel Shakespeare Company makes their debut appearance at the Sudbury Valley Trustees' Wolbach Farm on August 29, 2010 with ”Much Ado About Nothing," the comedic tale of two couples, Beatrice and Benedick and Hero and Claudio. Their very different romances wind through a "merry war" of trickery, hilarity, and deceit, and end up with a beautiful wedding, with adventures and situations which only William Shakespeare could pen. The backdrop of beautiful Wolbach Farm will be transformed into an outdoor stage for this lively and comical tale.
There will be one show at 5pm. Admission is free and folding chairs, blankets and picnics are a must. For further information, visit www.rebelshakespeare.org or call 978-457-2344.
The Teen Intensive Program of Rebel Shakespeare actors are high school students from across Massachusetts, many of whom have been studying Shakespeare since middle school. Rebel is primarily a summer program based on Winter Island in Salem, Massachusetts. For over 20 years, Artistic Director Keri Cahill and her staff have been bringing children aged 6-18 together with the timeless works of Shakespeare. The Teen Intensive program recently completed a tour of greater Boston with "Othello," which ran through the month of July. These teens are proud to present the final shows of the "Much Ado" tour and summer season at Wolbach Farm.
