New Trail Open

The new trail offers an additional loop adjacent to SVT's Sawink Farm, and also connects to the many miles of trails in the Crane Swamp area, which includes SVT's Cedar Hill Reservation and is highlighted by WCLT's Charm Bracelet.
As you may have read in previous newsletters, SVT has been working with the Department of Conservation and Recreation to build a new trail over Walnut Hill in Southborough.  The trail offers an additional loop adjacent to SVT's Sawink Farm, and also connects to the many miles of trails in the Crane Swamp area, which includes SVT's Cedar Hill Reservation and is highlighted by Westborough Community Land Trust's Charm Bracelet.  The construction of the new trail has been made possible thanks to the help of many volunteers, including groups from REI Framingham, EMS Northborough and the Rivers Givers from the Rivers School in Weston.  These groups have all helped out in the several workdays it has taken to add this new loop to our Crane Swamp Regional Trails Map.  SVT will be hosting a grand opening celebration on the 20th anniversary of National Trails Day, Saturday June 2nd, and we hope you can join us.  We have more news on additional links from this trail in the works, so stay tuned!
