Honey bees at a birdfeeder in Stow, photographed by Mark Roberts.A gray squirrel in Stow enjoys seeds knocked from a feeder by a swarm of bees, photographed by Mark Roberts.
Mark Roberts photographed a swarm of honey bees at his birdfeeder in Stow.  After some research online, he found that bees will occasionally feed at birdfeeders not for the corn but for the pollen in the dust.  He said the swarm knocks a good amount of the seed onto the ground, which makes the gray squirrels quite happy.
