Because the Worcester, Fitchburg and Lowell rail lines arc across the Concord, Assabet, and Sudbury river valley, we have numerous MBTA Commuter Rail stations in our towns. On these trains, bicycles ride free, except for weekdays at rush hour. To build on these two facts and make them useful, we’ve added this feature to our web site. It’s a list of several of our popular reservations, with two links apiece. One click gets you directions from the most appropriate MBTA Commuter Rail station. The other click brings up the trail map and description of that reservation.
We have done our best to provide safe and enjoyable routes from the MBTA Commuter Rail Stations to the SVT Reservations, but please look over the route yourself, keeping in mind your biking experience level and comfort on the road. If you find any mistakes,
please let us know. Also, note that biking is not allowed on most SVT trails. We do not have racks at our reservations, but you're welcome to lock your bicycle to a tree before enjoying our trails.

Regulations Page.
