House Finch
The female House Finch is on the left above, and the male is on the right. Native to southwestern United States, House Finches were released in New York City in the 1940s. Few were tallied in the Concord Christmas Bird Count until the late 1970s. House Finches are far more numerous than the similar Purple Finch.
