Farm Protection Options Workshop
On Monday, June 18th, Sudbury Valley Trustees held a Farm Protection Options Workshop at Schartner Farms. The event was co-sponsored by the Bolton Agricultural Commission and the Bolton Conservation Trust and representatives from the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources, Michele Padula and Craig Richov presented on their respective programs.
A number of farm owners from Bolton, Berlin, and Stow came out to the event as well as some conservation supporters from Bolton and nearby towns.
The workshop covered conservation and farming tools such as:
- Conservation Restrictions for Agricultural Preservation
- MA Agricultural Preservation Restriction Program
- MA Farm Viability Program and APR Improvement Program
- Community Preservation Act
- MA Conservation Land Tax Credit
The workshop will be shown on Bolton Cable Access and can be found on-line when released.
