Date: Saturday, May 12, Time: 7:00-9:00am
Location: Wayside Inn, Sudbury
Leader/Speaker: SVT Executive Director Ron McAdow
Longfellow's Wayside Inn is proud to be the oldest operating Inn in the country, offering comfort and hospitality to travelers along the Boston Post Road since 1716. A nationally significant Massachusetts Historic Landmark, The Inn has been serving travelers along the old Boston Post Road for almost 300 years. What you may not know is that The Inn property consists of 125 scenic acres.
In conjunction with the
Wayside Inn Antique Show, SVT Executive Director Ron McAdow invites you to look for some of the lesser known travelers to the Inn's property - the birds. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Henry Ford may have been two of the more famous guests, but for the same amount of time, the area has been visited by northern cardinals, yellow rumped warblers, blue jays, and many more bird species. Bring your binoculars and see how many visitors you can identify.
Beginners are welcome but do need to bring binoculars. The walk will take place rain or shine; dress appropriately for conditions.
