When the snow is deep, there is no better way to get around outdoors than with snowshoes. They make walking in deep snow a breeze! Join SVT and Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) of Marlborough and Acton for a snowshoe clinic. EMS will provide snowshoes and instruction. Space is limited, so sign up early. Members: Free, Non-members: $10. *If there is a lack of snow, this program will either continue as a hike or be rescheduled to a later date.

Join Susan at SVT’s single largest property.  The extensive and varied trail system of old-woods roads through forests and wetlands at the Memorial Forest makes it accessible to all kinds of nature lovers with little impact on the natural resources.  So bring your skis and get in some great outdoor winter exercise.  This program is weather dependant - dependant on snow that is.  This program is designed for experienced cross country skiers.

Meet at the Stearns Farm parking lot on Edmands Road for a loop through SVT properties and Callahan State Park. Lunch stop at Beebe Pond. Return thru Henry's Hill and other regions. Total trip about four miles and >200' elevation change. Ski or hike pending the conditions.
