As SVT’s Director of Land Protection Christa is passionate about making sure that we preserve and protect our precious lands. 
Says Christa, “I had the good fortune to grow up roaming the woods around my family's home in New York, and I couldn't say it any better than Wallace Stegner: ‘Something will have gone out of us as a people if we ever let the remaining wilderness be destroyed... We simply need that wild country available to us, even if we never do more than drive to its edge and look in.’” 
An avid skier (downhill, cross country, and back country),  mountain biker, hiker, birder, reader, and part time artist, now she, along with her husband, is instilling in their two children a love of all those activities and the land that inspires them. They do more than drive to the edge.
