While walking the Town of Sudbury's Hop Brook Marsh, Craig Smith reports that he "came across a Garter Snake in the trail. It became rather upset and aggressive, probably because when it saw me approach it became distracted from its hunting, and its prey escaped. It started coiling, and trying to strike at me while I was taking its picture. The first four photos are the Garter Snake including a blurry one of it trying to strike. The fifth picture is the prey that escaped from it, a Spring Peeper."
