They were not very happy because a raccoon (in the next picture) had more or less gone to sleep on top of the nest hole they had been exploring. Not a good choice of a nest hole, I fear."

Dan Foster used his automatically triggered wildlife camera to photograph a raccoon along Elizabeth Brook in Stow at SVT's Herene Reservation.  His camera also recorded activity there in November and December.  Dan was surprised to see no wildlife tracks at the site after the latest snow falls.

The raccoons came and devoured a dead pickerel that Dan had found on the shore of the pond.
