Russ Place photographed a pink-footed goose off of Route 117 in Sudbury.

Russ Place photographed this pink-footed goose, amongst a flock of Canada geese, at a field just east of Davis Farm Conservation Land on Route 117 in Sudbury.  The pink-footed goose is a very rare visitor to Massachusetts, this is the third record of one in the state.  Wikipedia offers more information about the bird, which is generally more at home in Greenland than Sudbury.
