Westford’s 25-acre
O’Brien Farm, owned by the same family for four generations, is a step back into history with a 19th century barn, classic rock walls, and a streetscape reminiscent of the 1880s. Located on “Scenic” Vose Road, it hosts a variety of habitats, including open meadows, forested uplands, a wooded swamp, marshlands, and a perennial stream. The owner has generously agreed to a bargain sale price for Westford’s purchase of a 23-acre conservation restriction, to be co-held by Sudbury Valley Trustees. This fall, Westford’s Town Meeting will vote on the Town’s purchase of the conservation restriction, using Community Preservation Act funds, but important additional funding is needed.
