Will and Judy Mack used their remote camera to photograph these white-tailed deer at SVT's Gray Reservation in Sudbury. Here's a bit about how they found the site:
"Snowshoes were required on our first reconnaissance. We were amazed at all the tracks we saw. The snow was old, so they were not distinct, but we had obviously found a deer trail and perhaps, judging by some larger depressions in the snow, a winter deer yard. The site is under evergreens and on a slight south-facing slope. Rain and several days of warm weather arrived before we went back to install the camera. Now there was a broad brown trail of deer droppings winding through the woods on the remaining snow as far as the eye could see. Here are a few photos from our first check of the camera after two weeks."
